Our Story
zerolux studio
zerolux studio is named in tribute to Lana Lenarâmy first mentor and a generous spirit in the world of lighting design.
After completing my studies at Parsons School of Design in 2001, I had the fortune of working with Lana at my very first lighting design job. She always believed in me, offering genuine encouragement and unwavering support. Even after I moved on to another company, she continued to cheer me on.
In 2006, Lana founded her own firm, Zerolux. She went on to influence many in the field through her work and mentorship. Following her passing in 2021, the DLF Beacon Award was established in her memory, and I was deeply honored to receive the inaugural New York Project Award for the Rockefeller Center Concourse in 2024.
Naming my studio zerolux studio is my way of honoring her legacy and carrying her spirit forward.
The name also carries another layer of meaning.
From Zero Lux - total darkness - I design with light.
As it is written in Genesis: âLet there be light.â
